This year, Google tried to beat the leaks with the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, but leakers are unstoppable. @thistechtoday claims to have the first hands-on with the Google Pixel 6 Pro smartphone in a video posted on Twitter. “I believe this is the first hands-on video of a Google Pixel 6 Pro leak. FYI: The logo indicates that this is most likely a pre-production test unit, so there may be some differences between what you see here and the final product,” the tweet added. The byte-sized video shows a Pixel 6 Pro, or possibly a demo unit, being held in someone’s hand.

The video doesn’t show the phone being turned on; rather, it’s a quick look at the design. While the screen is turned on, Android 12 is still in its initial setup stages. What it does tell us is that the angular and sharp design we saw in Google’s marketing images isn’t to be expected. Instead, the Pixel 6 Pro appears to be slightly curved near the edges, with a glossy sheen on the device that reflects light. The camera module’s black strip remains on the back, but it no longer resembles the sharp metal and glass slab seen in the video.
Specifications and features of the Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro
To be fair, we’ve already learned a lot about the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro from Google. The most notable of these is that these two phones will be powered by Google’s new Tensor chips for smartphones, which were created using the company’s technology.
The Pixel 6 Pro features a 6.7-inch QHD+ display, while the Pixel 6 features a 6.4-inch FHD+ display. The two phones will also have refresh rates of 120Hz and 90Hz, respectively. They will have under-display fingerprint sensors and dual cameras on the back with up to 4x zoom. On the standard and ultrawide lenses, these cameras have 50MP and 12MP sensors, respectively.
