The Pixel 6 series is expected to be released in the coming weeks. According to reports, the Google Pixel 6 series will be released in October. The official launch date for the Pixel 6 series has yet to be announced by Google. The Pixel 6 and its Pro sibling have been teased with some key specifications and features. These features include an AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, a triple-camera setup on the Pro model, and more. Later this year, more information about the Pixel 6 series will be released. Meanwhile, ahead of Google’s official launch event, some key details about the Pixel 6 Pro have leaked.
The specifications of the Google Pixel 6 Pro have been leaked
After the iPhone 13 launch event, the Google Pixel 6 Pro specifications leaked. According to the leaked specifications, the Pro model will not have Active Edge. Users will no longer be able to activate Google Assistant by squeezing the sides of their Google phones. Users can instead activate the assistant by double-tapping the back panel, according to the XDA report. The standard Pixel 6 does not support Battery Share reverse wireless charging, whereas the Pixel 6 Pro does.
The Pixel 6 Pro’s 6.7-inch display will have a 3120 x 1440 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, according to the report. This is something Google had previously confirmed. Furthermore, the report claims that even at 1440p resolution, users can enjoy a 120Hz refresh rate. Variable refresh rate is also available on the Pro model. When the display is in a low-power mode (such as Always-On Display), it switches to a lower refresh rate of 10Hz or 30Hz.
Ultra-wideband (UWB) technology will be included in the Pixel 6 series to track nearby objects. Samsung’s Exynos 5123 5G modem will also be used by Google. The Tensor-powered performance unit will include a Mali-G78 GPU and 12GB of LPDDR5 memory.
A 50MP Samsung GN1 sensor, a 12MP Sony IMX386 sensor, and a 48MP Sony IMX586 telephoto camera with 4x zoom will make up the triple-camera setup on the Pro model. The Pixel 6 Pro has a 12MP Sony IMX663 sensor for selfies.
A 5000 mAh battery, Wi-Fi 6, and an in-display fingerprint scanner are among the other features.
