At the Galaxy Unpacked 2021 event, Samsung unveiled two new foldable phones. For 2021, Samsung’s most premium foldable smartphone is the Galaxy Z Fold 3. It’s the first Samsung phone with a camera hidden beneath the display. A Snapdragon 888 SoC and a 4,400 mAh battery are also included in the Fold 2 successor.
At Unpacked 2021, Samsung also unveiled the Galaxy Z Flip 3. It has the same clamshell design as before, with a large 6.7-inch display. The Flip 3 is available for less than $1,000. In the United States, the Z Fold 3 5G starts at $1799.99. (roughly Rs 1,34,000). It comes with 12GB of RAM as standard and is available in two storage configurations. Users in the United States can choose between 256GB and 512GB of storage. The device is available in three colors: Phantom Black, Phantom Silver, and Phantom Green.

Specs and features of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3
A 7.6-inch foldable display with a resolution of 2208 x 1768 pixels is featured on the Z Fold 3. The Infinity Flex display has a Gorilla Glass Victus layer and supports a 120Hz refresh rate. Support for Samsung’s S Pen Pro is also included. A 4MP under-screen camera with an aperture of f/1.8 is housed in the foldable display.
The Fold 3 has a 6.2-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2260 x 832 pixels and 387 PPI on the outside. The 10MP f/2.2 front camera has a hole-punch cutout.
The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 888 SoC with a 5nm process. It has a storage capacity of up to 512GB and a memory capacity of up to 12GB. A 4,400 mAh battery powers the foldable phone. It has a 25W fast charging capability.
The Fold 3 has a triple-camera setup on the back in terms of optics. A 12MP wide-angle camera with an f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilization is included (OIS). A 12MP f/2.2 ultrawide lens and a 12MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom are included. Corning’s Gorilla Glass DX is used to protect the camera lens.
Other features include a fingerprint scanner on the side, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, and more. The device comes pre-installed with OneUI 3, which is based on Android 11. When unfolded, it weighs 271 grams and measures 6.4mm in length.
Specs and Features of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G
The Flip 3 has a 6.7-inch Full HD+ display with a resolution of 1080 x 2640 pixels. A layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus will be applied to the Dynamic AMOLED display, which will support a 120Hz refresh rate. It has a 1.9-inch cover display with a resolution of 260 x 512 pixels.
The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 888 SoC with a 5nm process, 8GB of RAM, and up to 256GB of internal storage. It has a 3,300 mAh battery and supports 15W fast charging.
Inside the hole punch cutout, the phone has a 10MP front camera. A dual-camera setup on the back includes a 12MP primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS). A secondary 12MP ultra-wide camera with a 123-degree field of view is also included. The phone will have a fingerprint scanner on the side and will also support face unlock. It will also include stereo speakers and IPX8 water resistance certification.
