The specifications for the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic have been revealed in a new leak. The South Korean tech giant’s rumored smartwatches are said to come in two sizes: 40/ 44mm and 42/ 46mm. The smartwatches will reportedly be made of a variety of materials, including aluminum and stainless steel. Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Watch 4 series, which will include two models: the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic, at its Galaxy ‘Unpacked’ event later this month, as well as two foldable smartphones: the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3.

It claims that both smartwatches are technically identical, except for the dial size and a few minor differences.

Samsung is said to have chosen a 1.36-inch AMOLED (450×450 pixels) display with Corning Gorilla Glass DX and a rotating bezel for the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. The vanilla Galaxy Watch 4 will have 40/ 44mm dial sizes and a 1.19-inch AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass DX, while this variant will reportedly have 42/ 46mm dial sizes. The Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Classic will be powered by a 361mAh battery that is expected to last up to 7 days. The vanilla Galaxy Watch 4 will, on the other hand, have a 247mAh battery.
Internally, the Exynos W920 wearable chip is said to have 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage. The Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic are waterproof to 5ATM (50 meters) and have IP68 dust and water resistance certification, as well as MID SID 810G military grade certification. According to reports, the Samsung smartwatches will include Bluetooth v5.0, WLAN, NFC, and optional 4G LTE connectivity. GPS and GLONASS are said to be among the sensors on the list. Both smartwatches will run the new Wear OS-based One UI interface, which according to the report will be One UI Watch 3.5.
The Samsung smartwatch models are said to have a variety of health sensors for monitoring heart rate, blood oxygen (SpO2), sleep tracking, fall detection, forecasts, and menstrual cycle tracking, among other things. Both are expected to include an electrocardiogram (EKG) sensor. According to the report, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic will have 40 sports modes, the majority of which will be detected automatically once the activity begins.
