Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Specs have Been Revealed Ahead of Launch

The Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 is set to launch in about a week, and we’ve already learned a lot about its design and pricing from leaks. Now, according to a new tip from Twitter user Snoopy Tech, all key specifications of the upcoming true wireless earbuds have been revealed. The leak suggests that the Galaxy Buds 2 will be a minor upgrade over its predecessors and that it won’t be anything out of the ordinary for Samsung’s latest earbuds.

According to the leak, the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 will include active noise cancellation (ANC) and an ambient noise mode that will allow users to converse without having to remove their earbuds. Bluetooth 5.2 will be used for wireless connectivity, but no information on audio quality, Dolby certification, or other audio enhancements has been released. It’s also unclear whether the Galaxy Buds 2 will include gesture-based controls and wear sensors for automatic pause and playback of music.

The Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 will, however, have a glossy finish and may come in five color variants at launch, according to the leak. With active noise cancellation turned on, the earbuds appear to offer 18 hours of playback time, with five hours of playback time via earbuds. The earbuds would last 28 hours without ANC, with eight hours of earbud playback. Each earbud will reportedly have a 61mAh battery, while the charging case will reportedly have a 472mAh battery.

The charging case is also tipped to support Qi wireless charging and the earbuds’ quick charging. The earbuds will be able to provide 55 minutes of playback with only 5 minutes of charging time, according to the tip. The Galaxy Buds 2 will reportedly have a dual-speaker configuration, with each driver having a 6.5mm tweeter and an 11mm woofer. Finally, the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 may have IPX7 splash and dust resistance, enhancing durability for a gym or outdoor use.

Pricing is expected to be around EUR 149 (roughly Rs 11,500) so far, though the exact price in India may vary. More information should be available soon, with the official launch set for a week from now.
