Xiaomi’s Smarter Living 2022 event is set for August 26th at 12 p.m. IST, and it looks like the company will unveil some products, including Mi Notebook laptops, Mi Band 6, and others. The company has now confirmed that the Mi TV 5X will be unveiled on stage. This will be the company’s follow-up to the Mi TV 4X, which was a big hit. On the company’s website, there is a dedicated microsite that reveals some key specifications. The Mi TV 5X will be made of metal and feature a full-screen, narrow-bezel design with Dolby audio for a more immersive audio experience.
The Xiaomi TV is said to come with a bright panel, with “visuals that are fine-tuned and responsive to your environment,” according to the company’s website. Xiaomi has confirmed that a new generation of Mi Patchwall UI will be unveiled, complete with curated content and a new ‘Must See’ section. Thanks to far-field microphones, the TV will be able to use Google Assistant. While the details aren’t available, it’s said to have “future-ready specs that will stand the test of time.” The Mi TV 5X is expected to be available in a 55-inch model, but other sizes may be available at launch.
In addition to the Mi TV 5X, the Mi Notebook laptops and Mi Band 6 will be unveiled at the event. A backlit keyboard, a fingerprint sensor for security, and the latest Intel Core processor are all expected to be included in the upcoming laptops. They’re said to have a 6.7 million pixel resolution, an ultra-smooth refresh rate, a standard 16:10 aspect ratio, a Thunderbolt port, and a 100 percent sRGB wide color gamut. The laptops are expected to be Mi Notebook Pro and Mi Notebook Ultra 15, according to rumors. Given what it brings to the table, pricing is expected to be on the higher end.
