The HP Envy 14 will be available in India soon, joining the HP Victus and Pavilion Aero laptop lines that the company has announced for 2021 in India. According to News18, the HP Envy 14 will be a step forward in the HP laptop design language for 2021, with a laptop chassis that is roughly the same size as previous HP 13-inch laptops and a 14-inch display. The Envy 14 will be equipped with the latest generation of Intel Core processors, as with every new generation laptop refresh.
Specifications of the HP Envy 14
According to News18, the HP Envy 14 will have a 16:10 14-inch IPS display with at least full HD resolution, implying that higher resolution display options will be available as optional upgrades or in more expensive variants. In terms of processors, the HP Envy 14 is expected to have at least an 11th generation Intel Core i5, with Core i7 options — as seen in premium ultrabooks like the Microsoft Surface Laptop 4, the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon, and others so far. The lineup is expected to include at least 16GB of RAM, as well as up to 512GB of SSD storage.
According to the report, there will be variants of the Envy 14 SKUs that use Nvidia GTX discrete graphics options. The cooling setup in the new Envy lineup is expected to include infrared thermal sensors, heat pipes, and thin-blade fans. Other rumored features include Bang & Olufsen-branded speakers, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5 connectivity, and an unspecified number of utility ports. To keep up with the latest generation of ultrabooks, the Envy 14 should have Thunderbolt 4 and USB-C 4.0 ports.
Pricing to be expected
The HP Envy 14 is expected to cost around Rs 1 lakh in India, according to News18. This places it in the same price range as other ultrabooks such as the Dell XPS 13 and the Microsoft Surface Laptop 4. The Envy 14 is also said to be a viable alternative for buyers considering the Apple MacBook Pro with the M1 chip, so expect to pay well over Rs 1 lakh for higher configurations.
