As a 2-in-1 option for students, the Asus Chromebook Detachable CZ1 has been quietly introduced. The laptop has a detachable keyboard as well as a backflip stand. It also includes a stylus that is hidden inside the Asus Chromebook Detachable CZ1’s casing. It’s tough enough to withstand a drop from a classroom desk or the dining room table, and it’s made in the United States. A tough rubber trim protects all four exterior edges and corners, reducing the impact of physical shocks.
The Asus Chromebook Detachable CZ1’s price and availability have yet to be announced. It’s only available in one color: black. The Asus Chromebook Detachable CZ1 features a 10.1-inch full-HD (1,920×1,200 pixels) LCD WUXGA touchscreen display with stylus support, 16:10 aspect ratio, 100 percent sRGB, and 400 nits of peak brightness, and runs on Chrome OS. The MediaTek Kompanio 500 (MT8183) processor is coupled with the Arm Mali-G72 MP3 GPU.
The Chromebook has up to 4GB of RAM and 128GB of eMMC storage. A USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm audio jack are included. The detachable keyboard has an ErgoLift design and 1.5mm key travel for a comfortable typing experience. Dual 5-magnet stereo speakers and a microphone are built into the Asus Chromebook Detachable CZ1. It has Google Assistant voice recognition built-in.
The Asus Chromebook Detachable CZ1 has an 8-megapixel world-facing camera on the back and a 2-megapixel camera on the front. A garaged USI stylus provides 45 minutes of use after only 15 seconds of charging. The Chromebook is powered by a 27Whr battery that claims to last up to 11 hours. It weighs approximately 500 grams and has dimensions of 256.4×168.2×8.9mm. It is certified to US military standard MIL-STD 810H and includes a Titan C security chip.
As previously stated, the Asus Chromebook Detachable CZ1 has a flexible stand on the back that can be adjusted to lay flat or maintain a comfortable position for the user. A solid cover, in addition to the shock-absorbent material on each of the four corners, provides an extra layer of protection in the event of accidental drops or mishaps.
