Last month, Tecno, a Transsion group company, unveiled the Tecno Pova 2 smartphone. Now, according to a recent official social media post, the handset will be arriving in India soon. On his Twitter account, Arijeet Talapatra, CEO of Trassion Holding India, teased that the company is launching a new handset with a 7000mAh battery. The teaser image also revealed a glimpse of the handset, confirming that it is the Pova 2, which will be released in India. The Pova 2 is only available in the Philippines, and it comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It costs 7,990 Philippine Pesos (approx. Rs. 11,820). It is expected to be released in India in the range of 10,000-11,000 rupees.
Specifications and Features of the Tecno Pova 2
The Pova 2 has a 6.9-inch FHD+ LCD display with a resolution of 1080×2460 pixels and a touch sampling rate of 180Hz. There’s also a punch-hole notch on the display. The handset is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 SoC, which is manufactured in a 12nm process. An integrated Mali G52 GPU handles the graphics tasks on the smartphone. It has up to 6 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128 GB of internal storage.
In terms of optics, the phone features a quad-rear camera setup with an LED flash. The handset’s 48MP primary sensor is complemented by a 2MP macro, 2MP depth, and a 2MP AI lens. It has an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.
The Tecno Pova 2 comes with a massive 7000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. A fingerprint scanner is located on the side, as well as a 3.5mm audio jack, a dedicated micro-SD card slot, and a Type-C charging port.
