iPhone 13 will reportedly support 25W charging, According to reports

The iPhone 13 is scheduled to be released in September of this year, with various enhancements rumored. A fresh report from a Chinese website claims that the iPhone 13 series will enable 25W fast-charging technology, which will be added to that list.

This will be an improvement above the current-generation Apple iPhones’ 20W charging support. In addition, according to a different report, the iPhone 13 will be joined with the long-rumored AirPods 3 TWS earbuds. Let’s look at the specifics of these two reports:

iPhone 13 with support for 25W fast charging

According to MyDrivers, the iPhone 13 range will allow 25W charging. The iPhone 12 models can charge at a rate of 20 watts, whereas the iPhone 11 series from 2019 can charge at a rate of 18 watts. According to the source, the impending 25W charging will not result in a significant difference in charging speeds for the phone.

It’s no surprise that the launch of this 25W solution would be accompanied by a 25W converter. Given that the present 20W adaptor costs Rs 1,899 in India, the 25W brick is likely to cost a little more than Rs 2,000 in the nation.

There are four varieties in the iPhone 13 series, according to reports: the normal 13, the small, the Pro, and the Pro Max. This lineup is identical to the iPhone 12 series from 2020, which saw the 12 mini struggle in terms of sales. What to expect from the iPhone 13 series, according to rumored specifications, is a minor upgrade over the existing flagships.

A smaller notch, 120Hz refresh rate, Always-For Display capability, reduced power consumption panels, a more powerful A15 chipset, up to 1TB storage, bigger camera sensors, and improved battery life are all expected on Apple phones in 2021.

The iPhone 13 series will be well behind the competition when it comes to charging speeds of 25W. Samsung already offers 45W charging speeds and is working on a 65W solution for the Galaxy S22 series. Xiaomi, Realme, Vivo, and OPPO, among other Chinese competitors, currently offer 120W charging on luxury smartphones and 65W charge on mid-range models. Xiaomi has already unveiled a 200W charging technology that can fully charge a phone in under 8 minutes, with a 2022 release date.

Apple’s AirPods 3 will be released alongside the iPhone 13 this fall

AirPods 3

Another Chinese site, Digitimes, claims that AirPods 3 would most likely be unveiled alongside the iPhone 13 series at the September event. According to the publication’s sources, shipments of flexible PCBs and SiP for AirPods 3 are being scaled back for Q3 and Q4 2021.

While the third-generation AirPods were supposed to be released in early 2021, the resources were diverted to the 2021 iPhone and Apple Watch models. According to the source, the AirPods 3 will be affordable, but there is no pricing range to suggest how much purchasers might anticipate paying.

The AirPods 3 are expected to be similar to the AirPods Pro in terms of design, with removable in-ear tips, relocated pressure ports, and shorter stems. The third-generation Apple earbuds will feature Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), a redesigned casing, and new wireless circuitry, according to rumors.

At the September presentation, Apple is expected to unveil the Apple Watch Series 7 and a new HomePod speaker, as well as possibly new MacBook models.
