When the news of Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut and the fact that it will be available for both the PS4 and PS5 broke, fans were ecstatic. Some features will be exclusive to the PS5, but the most important part of the game – the Iki Island story expansion – will be available on both consoles.
Ghost of Tsushima by SuckerPunch Productions was easily one of 2020’s best games, so it’s no surprise that a new edition would generate the same level of excitement. The Director’s Cut is now available for pre-order on the Sony PlayStation Store, and players who already own the base game can easily upgrade to the Director’s Cut.
The upgrade will set you back Rs 1664, and the game will be available for download on August 20, 2021.
Pre-orders for Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut is now available on the Sony PlayStation Store in India
On both the PS4 and PS5, players can upgrade to the Director’s Cut. Here are some of the features exclusive to the PS5 version of Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut:
- Japanese Audio Lip Sync
- Legends and Ghost of Tsushima now have haptic feedback and adaptive trigger support.
- 3D Audio Enhancements
- Reduced load times
- 60 frames per second were the goal
For some players, the lip sync was a major issue because they had hoped to play the game in a more immersive way with Japanese audio. While not completely detracting from the experience, the incorrect lip-sync interfered with immersion. SuckerPunch has taken this feedback to heart and used the PS5 hardware to address the issues that plague current-gen consoles.

Even on the base PS4, Ghost of Tsushima was one of the best-looking games of the generation, with lightning-fast load times. This is why it’s so exciting to see what SuckerPunch can achieve with better hardware.
The new edition will be released on August 20th, and players can pre-order their digital copy now on the PlayStation Store.
