Realme GT 5G Flagship Phone With Snapdragon 888 Chipset Was Released Globally Today

Three months after its debut in China, the Realme GT 5G has been released worldwide. The company announced the Realme GT 5G price, specifications, and availability details for the European market during a virtual launch event. The Realme Pad tablet and the Realme Book laptop were also announced alongside the flagship phone. The Snapdragon 888 SoC, 120Hz AMOLED display, 64MP triple cameras, and 65W fast charging are all included in this new 5G smartphone specifications, which are similar to those of the China variant.

Price and availability information for the Realme GT 5G

In Europe, the Realme GT 5G costs EUR 449 (roughly Rs 39,850) for the base variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. A 12GB + 256GB model has also been released for EUR 599. (approximately Rs 53,170). For the base model, the company has announced an Early Bird Price of EUR 369 (roughly Rs 32,750). At the moment, this new 5G smartphone will be available in a few European countries, including Poland, Spain, Russia, and Thailand, with more markets to come. On June 21st, multiple retailers, including AliExpress and Amazon, will begin selling the Realme GT 5G in these countries.

Specifications of the Realme GT 5G

A 6.43-inch display is included with the Realme GT 5G. It has a full-HD+ resolution, a refresh rate of 120Hz, and a touch-sensing rate of 360Hz. A punch-hole is installed in the top-left corner of the screen. this new 5G smartphone has two light sensors (presumably for adjusting screen brightness) and 4096 levels of auto-brightness, according to the company. There’s also a fingerprint scanner built into the display.

The Snapdragon 888 SoC, Qualcomm’s top-of-the-line chipset, is used in this new 5G smartphone, keeping it true to its flagship status. The phone is available in two configurations, as previously stated: 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage. The phone has a stainless steel cooling system to keep the SoC temperature in check. In terms of software, the Realme GT 5G comes pre-installed with Android 11 and the Realme UI 2.0 customization.

At the back of this new 5G smartphone are three cameras: a 64-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. A 16MP camera is included for selfies. The rear camera can record 4K videos at 60 frames per second, but the front camera can only record 1080p videos at 30 frames per second.

The Realme GT 5G’s 4,500mAh battery supports 65W charging, which the company claims will charge the phone from zero to 100% in just 35 minutes. The 5G network is supported by the Realme GT 5G. Two SIM card slots, dual-band Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.2, dual-band GPS, NFC, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port are also included. There are stereo speakers onboard as well. The phone comes in three different colors: Dashing Silver, Dashing Blue, and Racing Yellow. The final color option has a fingerprint-resistant ‘Ultra-fine-grain Leather 2.0.’

The Realme GT 5G will be released in India later this month, but the exact date has yet to be announced.
