PUBG Mobile was banned in India last year. The popular Battle Royale game had a massive following in India, with millions of active users. The game has made a comeback in India in the form of Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI). Several PUBG Mobile features, such as maps and in-game characteristics, have been ported over to BGMI. The developers, Krafton, have now announced a partnership with electric car maker Tesla for PUBG Mobile. The announcement was made via the company’s official social media channels.
Tesla x PUBG Mobile
PUBG Mobile has joined forces with Tesla, the world’s largest manufacturer of electric vehicles. According to the developers, this collaboration will bring Tesla’s “revolutionary spirit and products in-game.” While no specifics were provided, it is expected that the Battle Royale will include Tesla vehicles. The electric vehicle manufacturer’s lineup includes the Model S, Model X, Model 3, and Model Y. The Tesla Model S Plaid, which is claimed to be the world’s fastest electric sedan, was recently announced by the company. The new Tesla car is likely to make its way to PUBG Mobile.
We can also expect the developers to release new skins that are heavily inspired by Tesla’s vehicle lineup. The game already includes a plethora of vehicles spread across various maps. The Instagram teaser post doesn’t reveal much about the upcoming collaboration.
Assuming that BGMI is essentially a rebranded version of PUBG, the developers may include Tesla-related in-game elements. Given that both games are fairly similar and are under Krafton’s control, this is purely speculative. At the time of writing, Krafton had yet to make an official announcement regarding the introduction of Tesla vehicles in BGMI.
In related news, BGMI is now available for download in early access on the Google Play Store. Pre-registered players can download the game to their Android smartphones.
