Pokémon Unite coming on iOS and Android in September

The Pokémon Company has finally announced the release date for their next mobile video game, Pokémon Unite, which was first announced about a year ago. Pokémon Unite is an online multiplier battle game that will debut on Nintendo Switch next month before being released on iOS and Android in September. However, the announcement only provided a release month, and no specific date for any of the platforms was provided.

Pokémon Unite will be released on Nintendo Switch in July, with Android and iOS versions following in September.

If you’re interested in checking out the game, they did send us a trailer, which you can see below.

For those who are interested, Pokémon Unite will be a free-to-play title with MOBA-style elements. Two teams of five players will compete against each other in the game, each with its Pokémon with its abilities and items. The players’ Pokémon will continue to evolve and gain new abilities as the battler progresses. After defeating the opposing team’s Pokémon or those found in the wild, the players will gain Aeos energy, which can be collected and used to score points in the opposing team’s goal. The battle will be won by the team with the most points.

Microtransactions will be available in Pokémon Unite, even though it will be a free-to-play game. The company has already stated that players will be able to unlock Pokémon, new trainer outfits, and Pokémon Holowear.

There isn’t a lot of information about Pokémon Unite right now, but we’re hoping to learn more about the game and get a firm release date soon. We’re also anticipating whether or not the game will achieve the same level of success as Pokémon Go.
