Huawei announced this Wednesday (02) the arrival of MatePad Pro 12.6 and 10.8, as well as revealing MatePad 11, new tablets from the Chinese manufacturer that feature some new features, such as the new operating system HarmonyOS 2.0, which brings integration with screens bigger and new features.
Huawei’s new system offers a clean and intuitive interface, featuring large icons and widgets, ensuring usability similar to what we find on the desktop. Updating to the latest firmware version also adds mouse support, reinforcing the idea of MatePro being a “laptop computer”.

The tablet hits the market with good specs, featuring on the front a 12.6-inch OLED screen with QHD+ resolution (2560×1600 pixels) and a refresh rate of just 60 Hz. The smaller version has the same technical specification but with a 10- inch display .8″. As for the design, Huawei added thin edges and inserted the front camera centered at the top, making the MatePad very similar to a laptop.
The main focus of MatePad Pro is to serve as a laptop integrated into the company’s ecosystem, allowing users who own a branded smartphone to mirror the screen, transfer files, answer calls or synchronize messages. As it is intended for productivity, the device offers the new M-Pencil pen – similar to the S Pen – and a smart magnetic keyboard.
According to the manufacturer, the 10.000mAh battery is capable of providing the MatePad Pro 12.5 with an autonomy of up to 14 hours on a single charge, but it may vary according to the usage profile. It also supports fast charging with 40W power and 27W wireless power. 10W reverse charging is supported, allowing you to recharge other devices that support the technology.
Both models are available in gray, green, and white. The price of version 12.5 is €799 in Europe.
MatePad 11
MatePad 11 features a 10.95-inch LCD screen, QHD+ resolution (2,560 x 1,600 pixels) and 120 Hz refresh rate, ensuring smoother images. As for hardware, this model brings the Snapdragon 865 and 6GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage. The battery capacity is 7,250 mAh and it has a fast charge of 22.5 W.
It will be sold in Europe for €399. More information is expected soon.
