Battlegrounds Mobile India has yet to be officially released by Krafton. The release date for the game has yet to be announced by the company. Players can, however, download the Battle Royale early access version ahead of launch. It’s worth noting that the game received more than 5 million downloads on the Google Play Store in just two days after its beta launch. The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has demanded that Battlegrounds Mobile India be banned as the launch date approaches. The CAIT Secretary-General stated in a letter to the Minister of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) that the game is a threat to the security of its citizens.
CAIT Secretary-General Praveen Khandelwal wrote to Ravi Shankar Prasad, Minister of Law and Communications, Electronics and Information Technology, urging him to prohibit the release of the PUBG Mobile alternative. The trade body claims that the game jeopardizes India’s national security and millions of citizens’ data privacy.

This isn’t the first time someone has asked the government to prohibit the use of Battlegrounds Mobile India. Prior to CAIT, Ninong Erin, a former Union Minister, and current Arunachal Pradesh MLA wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, requesting a ban for the same reason. Abhishek Singhvi, another Member of Parliament, tweeted that the game’s release marks Tencent’s return to India.
In India, Krafton’s latest game is already available for download as an early access title. The rebranded version of PUBG Mobile has undergone some changes from the developers. A change in the color of blood, which is now green, is one of the changes. The word “kill” has been replaced with the word “finishes.” Players will also be reminded to practice good posture and limit their screen time, among other things. These notices and messages have been identified as belonging to the “Gameplay Management System.”
The creators have also established criteria for a long-term ban. Players who do not follow the game’s rules of conduct and community policies will be either temporarily or permanently banned from the game.
