A new trademark request by Oppo at the European intellectual property body, EUIPO (Oppo Watch Free), reveals that the Chinese manufacturer may soon present a new version of its smartwatch, the Oppo Watch, with a greater focus on physical exercise.
Called Oppo Watch Free, the brand was registered for Class 9/14, which details the use for “smartwatches; wearable computers; GPS; wearable activity tracker; wristwatch; sports watches”, reinforcing the idea that the model can be aimed at a different audience from Oppo Watch with minimalist and premium design.

The aforementioned Oppo Watch offers a curved glass front panel on the sides as a great design differential, betting on a square format. A version with an electrocardiogram called the Oppo Watch ECG was also presented by the manufacturer, but the new Oppo Watch Free may be a cheaper version with a more resistant and robust design.
From the description of EUIPO, it would not be difficult to imagine the focus of the accessory for recording physical activities outdoors thanks to the integrated GPS, allowing even more accurate measurement of distance and routes, for example.
Anyway, there are still no further details regarding the Oppo Watch Free, but news should be presented by the manufacturer very soon.
