Google services are officially coming back to Huawei’s former sub-brand

It seems that with the separation from Huawei, it will finally return to normal. The Twitter account of the Honor dealership in Germany, in response to a question from a user, announced that the new phone based on the Snapdragon 778 – which is reportedly called the Honor 50 – will be launched with Google services. The use of the Magic UI user interface with new features has also been confirmed.

Since the US imposed tough sanctions on Huawei in May 2019, the Honor 50 is the company’s first handset to ship with Google services. After the start of these extensive sanctions, Huawei has faced increasing problems due to the impossibility of using Google services and, of course, other existing restrictions. As you probably know, Huawei sold Honor to a consortium of Chinese companies months ago.

Now, as a completely independent company, Honor is resuming cooperation with major companies such as Qualcomm and Intel. Although it is no longer under US sanctions after its separation from Huawei, overall we can now say with certainty that these phones will not have a problem using Google services.

Honor will soon unveil its new handsets and wants to regain its former position in the European and Asian markets. It should be noted that after the start of US sanctions against Huawei, Chinese companies such as Oppo and Xiaomi have taken full advantage of this opportunity and have been able to significantly increase their market share.

In any case, we have to see if it can attract a lot of users in the target markets under the leadership of new managers or not. However, the return of Google services to Honor phones is very good news for the fans of this brand.
