Here are all the technical specifications of the new Sony Xperia 1 III / Xperia 5 III starting from the screen size and the photographic module.
Sony has just officially presented two smartphones that, of course, will appeal to those who love taking pictures: here are all the details on the brand new Xperia 1 III and Xperia 5 III.
New Sony: specifications
Let’s start by saying that the biggest difference between the two phones lies in the screen: although both displays are protected by Gorilla Glass Victus, the Xperia 1 III offers a 6.5-inch (21: 9) 4K OLED panel. , while the Xperia 5 III is equipped with a 6.1-inch FHD + OLED display (21: 9). Fortunately, both panels enjoy a 120Hz refresh rate, unlike last year’s models, where the Xperia 1 II was stuck at a 60Hz refresh rate.
Both the Xperia 1 III and the Xperia 5 III are powered by the flagship Snapdragon 888 processor, they run 5G on GHzsub-6Ghz frequencies (without mmWave), they have a 4,500mAh battery with 30W wired charging, the scanner for side-mounted fingerprints, and IP65 / 68 rating.

But that’s not all, as Sony also guarantees three years of good battery health for its new devices when using the adaptive charging setting, so the user shouldn’t notice significant degradation over time.
As for the photographic sector, Sony’s new flagships offer a similar experience, with an 8 MP selfie camera on the front and three 12 MP rear shooters. The three cameras positioned on the rear consist of a 12 MP main cam (f / 1.7, OIS), a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle sensor (f / 2.2), and a rather interesting 12 MP periscope lens.
Both phones offer Zeiss lenses, 20 fps photographs with autofocus and exposure, noise reduction, and auto eye focus for humans or animals. Finally, the video recording is, for both the Xperia 1 III and the Xperia 5 III 4K / 120fps.
