Samsung Galaxy A22 receives BIS certification, Launch will be soon

The MySmartPrice portal has just identified the BIS certification for the Samsung Galaxy A22 5G; the launch could be around the corner.

Samsung is reportedly working on the Galaxy A22 5G (model number SM-A226B ). It should arrive as the brand’s most affordable 5G phone. Some markets such as India may only receive the LTE version of the device. It appears that the launch of this product is imminent (at least in India), as the terminal has just been approved by the Bureau of Indian Standards ( BIS ).

Samsung Galaxy A22: what do we know?

MySmartPrice has identified, through the BIS list, the notorious low-cost from Samsung, which has the model number SM-A225F. The same phone also appeared in the HTML5Test benchmarks with the Android 11 operating system. Unfortunately, these lists have no information on the key specifications of the Galaxy A22 4G.

Probably, the Galaxy A22 LTE will have the same design as the Galaxy A22 5G. The main difference between the two devices could be the presence of a 5G-ready chipset under the hood of the more expensive model.

The moniker of the A22 4G suggests that this will rank lower than the Galaxy A32 5G, which will (perhaps) feature the Dimensity 800U chipset. Everything suggests it could feature the Dimensity 720, Dimensity 700, or Snapdragon 480. It is expected to include a 13MP front camera and four sensor setup, which 48MP primary lens, 8MP secondary snapper, and two 2 megapixel selfie cams each.

The model with fifth-generation networking support is expected to come in two variants of RAM and storage, but the finer details are not yet known. Nonetheless, the phone may be available in multiple colors: gray, white, light green, and purple. It is likely to be priced below 229 Euros (~ Rs 20,450). In this article you will also find some render photos of the device shared by LetsGoDigital; would you like it if the Galaxy A22 were like that? We are still talking about a budget phone with premium specifications!
