Samsung Galaxy XCover 5: technical specifications leaked, it will launch soon

According to what is learned on the net, it seems that the new Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 will be an entry-level rugged phone but full of interesting features.

Samsung announced the Galaxy XCover Pro rugged phone in January last year. Last week, the new model in the range seems to have been spotted within the benchmarking portal Geekbench and at the Federal Communications Commission ( FCC ). These lists suggest that the device may become official soon. Now, tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore has shared the key specs of the smartphone.

The leak reveals that the Galaxy XCover 5 will come with a 5.3-inch display capable of 1600 x 900 pixel HD + resolution. The insider has no information on the processor of the smartphone in question, although he claims that it will be shipped with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of native memory, certainly expandable via microSD.

The terminal will have a 3,000 mAh battery that will support 15 W charging. At the front, it seems to host a 5 Mpx front camera, while at the rear there should be a 16 Mpx single lens. There would be 4G LTE connectivity to support everything. The only color available, however, seems to be the black one.

Although Sudhanshu does not know the processor, from the Geekbench list we find that the XCover5 could be equipped with the proprietary Exynos 850 SoC. The software, on the other hand, seems to be Android 11 customized with One UI skin. From the list of unofficial technical specifications, a reflection arises: the new device arriving, probably, will be a “lite” version of the iteration seen last year.

In this regard, just as a “remind me”, we remind you that the Galaxy XCover Pro has a 6.3-inch IPS LCD display with Full HD + resolution and a format of 19.5: 9. Under the body, the device has the chipset Exynos 9611 with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. It also sports a photographic configuration consisting of a double cell (25 Mpx + 8 Mpx); before, however, we find a 13 Mpx selfie cam. Among other things, it enjoys the fingerprint mounted on the side frame and a 4050 mAh battery with support for 15W wired charging.
