Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 888 chipset was introduced in December. During the event, ZTE confirmed that it will launch three phones powered by the new high-end hardware. These future devices were expected to be the ZTE Axon 30, Nubia Z, and Red Magic 6. Earlier today, the company shared a new poster to reveal that its next flagship phone will be called the ZTE Axon 30 Pro.
ZTE confirms Axon 30 Pro as next with on-screen camera
Considering what its predecessor, the Axon 20 5G, offered, the Axon 30 Pro is expected to be the next device from the brand to make use of its hidden camera technology under the screen. In the first official promotional poster for the ZTE Axon 30 Pro, we are only shown what appears to be a schematic of its rear camera module.

It would have a “revolutionary” photographic section
Today, ZTE President Ni Fei used his official Weibo social network account to point out that the future Axon 30 Pro will arrive with an “industry-first imaging system .” Neither the company nor the company has revealed any information about the cameras of the Axon 30 Pro, but if they can say this, it is that they have something special up their sleeve.
The Axon 30 series is expected to consist of at least two models: the ZTE Axon 30 and the Axon 30 Pro. Both devices may come equipped with ZTE’s second-generation in-display front camera. The Pro model will be the one powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 mobile platform. It is not yet clear which processor will be present under the hood of the Axon 30.

There is much speculation that ZTE may announce that the Axon 30 line of flagship phones will be officially launched after the Chinese New Year (February 12). Given the above, it is quite likely that more information about the specifications of both terminals will begin to emerge in the coming days.
The Axon 30 Pro is expected to arrive as the direct successor to the Axon 10s Pro 5G that debuted in February 2020. The Axon 20 was launched without a Pro model, which is why it only occupied the mid-range segment, without having a high-end option.
The Axon 30 Pro would have specifications such as an AMOLED screen with Full HD + resolution, the Snapdragon 888 chipset, up to 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Thanks to the integration of the front camera sensor integrated under its screen, it will offer a true full-screen design.
