Samsung Galaxy M62: American FCC certification has just confirmed it will be a phablet

According to the US FCC list, we now have official confirmation: the Samsung Galaxy M62 will be a phablet.

The existence of a device called “ Galaxy M62 ” was first reported in November 2020. Later, it was assumed that this terminal was a tablet rather than a smartphone. Finally, last week, images appeared on the Internet that made the terminal in question think of a phablet. Now comes confirmation of this from the FCC.

Samsung Galaxy M62: the return of phablets

The portal for the American FCC certification has just confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy M62 that is so much talked about on the net, is actually a phablet. The model number of this product is ID A3LSMM625F. The list also confirms the phone’s two model numbers: SM-M625F / DS and SM-E62F / DS (DS stands for dual-SIM).

A gadget with the latter model number leaked in live images in December as the Galaxy E62. This will not be the case, now we can guarantee that although Samsung will release the Galaxy M62 as the Galaxy E62 in select markets, there is still a chance.

The listing reveals that this device is equipped with 4G LTE, dual-band WiFi, and NFC. As for the other specs, it is expected to include the Exynos 9825 SoC, at least 6GB of RAM, and the Android 11 (One UI 3.0) operating system, as suggested by Geekbench. For the uninitiated, this is the same chipset that powers the older flagship Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ smartphones. Finally, according to the first-ever report of this phone, we know the internal storage that the device will have: 256 GB, but there may also be a lower storage option.

Unfortunately, we know nothing about the display, camera, and battery of the upcoming Samsung phablet. We expect to know more in the coming days, pending the official launch of the device which should take place shortly.
