To celebrate its tenth birthday in a unique way, in addition to the Mi 10 Ultra and Redmi K30 Ultra smartphones, Xiaomi presented the Mi TV LUX Transparent Edition. As you can already guess from the name it is a transparent TV.
Xiaomi Mi TV LUX: transparent and not for all budgets
The full name is “Mi TV LUX OLED Transparent Edition”. Coming to the technical details, the device offers an edge-to-edge panel capable of displaying images that seem suspended in the air. Below is the description provided by the manufacturer.
This TV inaugurates a new way of watching content, until now only appreciated in science fiction movies. Mi TV LUX Transparent Edition offers a perfect combination of cutting-edge display technology and refined industrial design. For Xiaomi, it is also an important exploration of future forms of TVs. When Mi TV LUX Transparent Edition is turned off, it looks like a simple glass display. The images he shows seem to float in the air, merging the virtual and the real.
According to what the Chinese company declares, unlike traditional televisions equipped with a rear panel, Mi TV LUX Transparent Edition incorporates all the processing units in its basic support, preserving the compact shape of the screen through multiple technical devices.
The transparent OLED-type panel has a 55-inch diagonal and is capable of offering high brightness, 10-bit depth, and 93% P3 color space coverage.
Of course, this all comes at a cost. What Xiaomi defines as a “work of art” will be available at a price of approximately $ 7,200 (Rs. 5.38 lacs). Official sales in China will kick off on August 16.
