In addition, a new algorithmic color mapping technique has been added, leading Google to be more complete by adding more realistic details and colors that make it easier to understand the environment of a specific area.
Also comes ” one of the most comprehensive views of natural features on any major map app, with availability in all 220 countries and territories supported by Google Maps “. This coverage is equivalent to over 100 million square kilometers of land or 18 billion football fields. Google states in this regard:
This update is visible no matter what area you’re looking at, from the largest metropolitan areas to small rural towns. In addition to helping users visualize the natural conditions of a country and region, Google Maps will soon provide more detailed road information. The positionings of sidewalks, pedestrian crossings, and pedestrian areas will be displayed, all important information for those in a wheelchair or pushing a stroller; it is also useful for those people who take solo walks due to the pandemic.
