Qualcomm announces the new Snapdragon 768 5G

The American company Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. has just announced the new Snapdragon 768G processor, the evolution of the previous SD 765G. The new generation chipset designed by Qualcomm is able to guarantee ever greater performance aimed at improving the gaming experience and the usability of an increasingly smart and engaging device.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 768G: support for 5G

With the integrated 5G modem, the device that will have the Snapdragon 768G onboard, you can enjoy support for new generation networks for super-fast connection. Added to this are the exclusive features of Qualcomm Snapdragon Elite Gaming, designed by the company for mobile gaming, an increasingly evolving sector. According to the words of Kendra Kondap, vice president of the company:

We are uniquely positioned to accelerate the commercialization of 5G on a large scale and Snapdragon 768G is an example of how we are continuing to provide solutions to meet the needs of our OEM customers. Our expanding portfolio has the potential to make 5G accessible to billions of smartphone users around the world.

Compared to the previous model, the new Qualcomm chipset is able to provide the following technical specifications:

  • Qualcomm® Kryo ™ 475 CPU Prime speed, with a maximum power of 2.8 GHz (improved by 2.4 GHz);
  • The Qualcomm® Adreno ™ 620 GPU allows you to have an increase in performance in daily use as well as in gaming sessions, up to 15%;
  • Adreno GPU drivers are upgradeable.
Qualcomm announces the new Snapdragon 768 5G

The Snapdragon 768G, according to Qualcomm, is able to offer exponential improvements in gaming performance, thanks to 5G connectivity and multi-camera smart functionality, thus allowing to preserve battery life. The SoC is compatible with the pins and software of the previous 765 and 765G models.

In the gaming field, the processor of the American company now offers new exclusive functions designed to offer special game extensions and optimizations, increasingly fluid gameplay, vivid colors thanks to 10-bit HDR to reproduce even the most complex titles in an excellent way.

The platform is the first of the 7 series that supports the new upgradeable GPU drivers, which allow you to vary the display refresh rates, thus allowing you to enjoy maximum visual fidelity on games. The enhanced Adreno 620 GPU offers improved graphics rendering thanks to an upgrade of 15% more than the SD 765G.

Qualcomm’s new solution then takes 5G connectivity to a new level; thanks to the RF 5G Snapdragon X52 modem, the chipset is able to support all the key regions and frequency bands ranging from mmWave to sub-6GHz, without forgetting the 5G SA and NSA, TDD and FDD with Dynamic Spectrum Sharing (DSS ), worldwide roaming and multiple SIM support.

The X52 modem offers download speeds of up to 3.7 Gigabit and upload speeds of up to 1.6 Gbps, without however drastically affecting the battery and ensuring almost total coverage (as long as there are antennas installed in the area).

The fifth-generation AI engine is designed to interact with any aspect within the smartphone; we think of new innovative solutions such as real-time translation, ultra-fluid AI-based lens filters for Social Media apps, such as Snapchat, Instagram, and many others.

Finally, the low-power Qualcomm detection hub allows the devices to be aware of the voice commands during the use of the AI assistants and clearly and automatically identify the music that is played, without generating a battery drain to the device itself.

The first smartphone in the world that enjoys Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 768G platform is the Redmi K30 5G Racing Edition, which boasts support for dual 5G SA and NSA connectivity, 120 Hz refresh rate display and 64 Mpx main sensor camera new generation.
