In China, there is a bizarre trend on the part of OEM mobile phone manufacturers to launch special edition variants on the market for their flagship devices or those most appreciated by the public. While several editions offer improved hardware specifications, transparent back covers, many others rely on a different design and coloring based on the culture of the reference brand. While we saw the recently launched Vivo iQOO Z1 limited edition dedicated to One Piece (the famous anime about pirates of the seven seas), Oppo, a subsidiary of Vivo, seems to have launched the Neon Genesis Evangelion variant of its Ace 2.
