In addition to the Mi 10 Youth phone, Xiaomi also announced two new Bluetooth headsets, the Xiaomi Line Free and the Mi Headset Youth Edition. Both are now available for purchase through mi.com.
The Xiaomi Line Free has a design that allows it to be worn around the neck and also includes magnetic connectors on each of the headphones. It has two color options – black and gray – and a sandblasted finish.
The highlight of the new headset is its low latency (80ms), thanks to Qualcomm’s AptX Adaptive technology. This adaptable audio technology was designed to provide a Bluetooth wireless alternative to traditional wired systems that work seamlessly in a variety of applications, including games, video, and music. The new Bluetooth headset from Xiaomi comes equipped with the Qualcomm QCC5125 audio chipset. It combines different technologies to offer high-quality audio when playing music and making calls.
The Xiaomi Line Free brings a battery with an autonomy of up to 9 hours and it can be recharged through the USB Type-C port. Xiaomi claims that 10 minutes of charge is sufficient for more than its hours of audio playback. The headset features buttons to control the volume and playback of songs is compatible with digital assistants such as Xiao AI, Siri, and Google Assistant, and is now available through the mi.com website for 199 yuan (about Rs 2,140).
The Mi Headset Youth Edition (model LYEJ07LS) is mainly aimed at calls using the smartphone. Its design resembles that of the Mi Headset Basic which was launched years ago also with Bluetooth connectivity.
The phone weighs 6.5 grams, comes with support for the Bluetooth 5.0 standard, and with buttons for volume control and music playback. You can use the buttons to change music, accept or reject calls, redial numbers, and more. It uses DSP technology to reduce noise and has a low level of interference in 4G networks.
The Mi Headset Youth Edition Bluetooth headset has a battery with a battery life of 4 hours in use and up to 80 hours in stand by. It can be paired with two devices at the same time and has a Bluetooth range of 10 meters. This headset is now available in black and white, and in three sizes, via mi.com for 59 yuan (Rs 635).
